Troubleshooting

The checks that solve most first-session issues.

The overlay is hard to see

Change line color first. Use orange or red on mixed-tone images, white on dark images, and black on bright images. Then adjust opacity and line width.

The grid does not match my subject

Move, rotate, and scale the overlay. Most reference images are cropped or angled, so a default overlay rarely fits without transform adjustments.

The image feels slow

Try a smaller source image or close other browser tabs. Very large camera files can exceed what a phone or older laptop handles comfortably.

I do not know which guide to use

Start with square grid for transfer, thirds for composition, Loomis for portraits, and perspective grids for scenes with depth.

Send details that make the problem reproducible.
